Interests

Anneke's research interests broadly include: 1) the identification of mechanisms and moderators in the relationship between experiences of maltreatment and psychiatric and behavioral outcomes, as well as, 2) the development and evaluation of prevention and treatment programs for the children and families impacted by child maltreatment. She is especially interested in individual competencies (e.g. emotion regulation) and the role of family relationships (i.e. parent-child relationships and sibling relationships) as potential targets for intervention. Furthermore, she is interested in observational methodology as a means to rigorously assess these family relationships.
