FAQs:

How should I apply for College of Health and Human Development scholarships?

All students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Development are automatically considered for both College and department/school scholarships. No application is required.

How are scholarships awarded?

Each student is matched with donor criteria via a data base match and final decisions are made by College and department/school scholarship committees.

When are scholarships awarded?

First-year awarding is completed in March. Awarding is completed for all other students in June/July for the upcoming academic year.

How will I know if I am receiving a scholarship?

Only students receiving awards will be notified via a letter sent to the student's home address.

How can I be sure I am considered for all scholarships?

Scholarship criteria are set by donors. Academic merit and/or financial need may be part of the donor criteria. In order to be considered for all possible scholarships, it is recommended that all students annually submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Entering first-year students should file by  December 1; all other students should file by April 15. Go to https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa to apply.
