Current Research
Working alongside world-class faculty members, our students explore innovative research initiatives that span the physical, life, behavioral, social sciences, and the humanities.
Researchers work in domains such as athletic training, sports medicine, biomechanics, exercise physiology, the history and philosophy of sport, motor control, the psychology of physical activity — and much more.
In keeping with our interdisciplinary approach in Kinesiology, our research projects extend from opportunities available through the department’s Biomechanics Lab and Noll Lab, across the University Park and Hershey Medical Center campuses, to collaborations that incorporate the departments of Biobehavioral Health, Bioengineering, Biology, Human Development and Family Studies, Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Nutritional Sciences, Psychology, the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, and the College of Medicine.
Featuring state-of-the-art facilities and a highly regarded reputation for world-class research, the program has outstanding faculty involvement both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
