Additional Information

Holly completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (First Class Honors) and doctorate training at the Queensland University of Technology (Australia). Her doctoral thesis examined complex feeding relationships within socioeconomically disadvantaged families and children’s development of food preferences and eating behaviors. As a doctoral scholar, she was awarded an Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship (Australian Government-funded competitive grant) to collaborate with researchers at University College London (UK). Holly has received several other grants, awards and commendations from her publications (e.g. International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity; Best Observational Paper 2016) and science communication (e.g. Queensland University of Technology ‘Three Minute Thesis’ Runner Up, People’s Choice Award and Winner of the ‘Faculty of Health’ category). She has had extensive clinical experience working as a dietician in non-government and private organizations in rural and disadvantaged Australian communities. Holly held a Teaching and Research academic position in the School of Public Health at the University of Queensland before joining the team at CCOR.
