Additional Information

Janelle Rushton is the associate director of annual giving at Widener University. She began her career in fundraising as a Lion Line development representative. Building on this foundation, she entered Penn State’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations Internship program. Following her internship, Janelle held the role of assistant director of annual giving at the West Chester University Foundation, which ultimately led her to her current role at Widener.

Janelle majored in Human Development and Family Studies and earned her B.S. from Penn State in 2015. In addition to now serving as president of the Human Development and Family Studies Affiliate Program Group, Janelle also holds a leadership position as scholarship director for the Penn State Alumni Association Philadelphia Chapter.
