The Biomarker Core Lab (BCL) is part of Penn State's Core Services. We are a not-for-profit core facility that provides biomarker academic research services to various constituencies, including private companies, for the benefit of the Commonwealth.
The Biomarker Core Lab now offers services like those available from commercial testing providers. Get more analytes, faster turn around times, and near diagnostic level results.
Faculty couple Thomas J. Gould, Jean Phillips Shibley Professor of Biobehavioral Health and head of the department, and Sheree F. Logue, director of the Biomarker Core Laboratory and associate teaching professor of biobehavioral health, are together spearheading an effort to honor Teaching Professor Emeritus Frank Ahern with an endowment to benefit undergraduates studying biobehavioral health.
David Almeida, professor of human development and family studies, will present the lecture at 4:00 p.m. on Sept. 29, summarizing research findings on the effects of daily patterns of stress, social interaction, mood, physical activity, and sleep on our health and well-being.
