Parisa Osfoori
Adviser: Chaleece Sandberg
As a multilingual, Parisa has always been fascinated by how different languages interact in her brain. Her master's research used EEG to examine syntactic priming in healthy bilinguals. Currently, she is a Ph.D. graduate assistant in CSD (dual with Neuroscience). At SANDLab, their most recent project is comparing syntactic priming in aging adults vs individuals with aphasia. She is also involved in the BAbSANT MetaAnalysis project and another comprehensive study on semantic categorization of word pairs. Through behavioral and brain-scanning methods, she aims to better understand bilingualism, language learning, and disorder rehabilitation.
