Research Interests

The influence of maternal diet and lifestyle on the placenta and lactation, using biomarkers during pregnancy to predict placental and lactation outcomes. Development of targeted interventions to prevent or treat inflammation- and diet-related lactation problems. The role of lipids, lipid metabolism, and micronutrient status in the initiation and resolution of inflammation.
