Melissas a highly motivated, detail-oriented sales professional with a passion for developing high-performing teams, telling stories with data and creative problem solving. Currently, she leads the AMER-wide Tableau Sales Program Team, within Salesforce (the world's #1 CRM) and is based in Washington, DC. Prior to this role, Melissa spent 10+ years in the hospitality industry, serving as a regional people leader at Expedia Group where she developed sales managers across the Mid-Atlantic region. She also held roles in sales operations, account management and hotel operations.
Within the travel industry, she stays engaged in shaping the success of hospitality professionals through PSHRS (Penn State Hotel & Restaurant Society), where she served as the Membership Chair on the Executive Board from 2016-2022. In 2018, Navarro was published as a contributing author to the university level Pearson textbook "Technology Strategies for the Hospitality Industry", where she focused on online distribution. In 2017, she was honored to receive the "Emerging Professional" recognition by the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society.
