HDFS Undergraduate Program

Investigating human nature and the ideas that shape it

Learn how humans develop physically, emotionally, and socially throughout the lifespan. This versatile degree program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to positively impact individuals, families, and communities, and prepares them for further study in social work, counseling, and teaching.

Major Options

Students majoring in HDFS choose between two degree options: Life Span Developmental Science and Life Span Human Services.  These options allow students to explore the versatility of the major in research and methodology, and applied theories.
