Master of Social Work on World Campus

The Penn State World Campus Master of Social Work program prepares clinical social workers with the values, knowledge, and skills to effectively serve the needs of our diverse society, providing a foundation in social work and emphasizing clinical practice.

The online program provides flexibility in balancing education, personal, and professional lives, while fostering community building and rich relationships between faculty and students. This generalist social work foundation is augmented by two clinical specialization areas: children and families, and mental health and substance abuse. Our focus is developing and empowering future professional leaders who are committed to inclusivity, alleviating critical social problems, and enhancing human well-being and social justice.
