The minor in human development and family studies is a great complement to many different undergraduate majors, particularly for students who want to understand human development and build skills for working with people.

HDFS Minor Requirements

The requirements for the HDFS minor are very straight-forward, consisting of 18 credits of HDFS course work.

Three credits: Take HDFS 129.
Nine credits: Choose from HDFS courses at any level—100, 200, 300, or 400-level.
Six credits: Choose from 400-level HDFS coursework.

It is generally best to complete six credits of lower-level courses before pursuing your 400-level selections.
