When it comes to the hospitality industry, there are many ways to be your own boss or to trail blaze for the most innovative and enduring brands.

If starting your own service-oriented venture is in your plans, you’ll want to consider Penn State’s Intercollege Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (ENTI).

This minor’s unique course of study allows you to create and develop novel but sound entrepreneurial concepts that span the hospitality spectrum. You’ll examine business opportunities in lodging (hotels, motels, and bed and breakfasts); food service (food trucks, quick-service eateries, and upscale restaurants); online travel agencies, other virtual service ventures, and more. You’ll also learn to apply problem-based learning to create value through new products, services, and ventures while becoming an agent of positive change in your chosen field.
