  • Prior to arriving at Penn State, served as the associate dean of academic affairs and associate professor in the Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources in the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.
  • Earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont and an M.S. in Forest Resource Management from SUNY ESF - SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.

  • Honors degree in Political Science, a teaching degree in Outdoor and Experiential Education, a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (2003) and a MBA with a Specialization in Leadership (2005).
  • Executive Director of Outward Bound Canada from 2010 - 2019. During this time, Sarah revitalized and grew the organization, focusing on increasing access to OBC’s life-impacting programs through strategic partnerships and initiatives.
