Minor in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management
The Penn State Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management (RPTM) minor allows you to supplement your studies in another major with a flexible curriculum that examines the broad spectrum of leisure activities that impact our health and well-being over the course of our lives.
By leveraging flexible in-depth coursework, experiential learning, and our partnership with various professional organizations, the RPTM minor provides an introduction to recreation/leisure services, and emphasizes professional skills essential for successful delivery of these services. While Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management has a natural synergy with the social sciences, ecology, health sciences, and others, an RPTM minor provides adds significant value and interest to any number of majors offered across the university.
