Through innovative research projects, Penn State’s Nutritional Sciences (NUTR) world-class faculty members and students explore the broad and deep influences of nutrition on the health of individuals and groups across the lifespan.

As a result, we are able to provide evidence-based recommendations designed to positively impact the landscape of the nutrition agenda and the health of individuals worldwide. Researchers work in domains such as metabolic disorders, health promotion/disease prevention, human development/life cycle, ingestive behavior/control of food intake, micronutrient metabolism/function, international nutrition/community nutrition, nutrient-gene interactions/metabolic regulation — and much more.

The National Research Council recently ranked the Penn State NUTR Graduate Program among the nation's best.
