Nicole Walsh, ‘13, Exercise Physiology

The courses I took in Kinesiology taught me how the human body moves and operates which enables me to give my clients the best experience.

Nicole Walsh

Nicole Walsh is the owner of Nikki Walsh Adapt Fit LLC. She is a Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach whose services are primarily conducted online via Zoom.  She also is the co-founder of Wheel With Me Adapt Fit, the first wheelchair fitness app made by wheelchair users. During her time at Penn State, she not only received a comprehensive education but also cherished the friendships she made, considering some of them her closest friends.

Nicole's academic background in Kinesiology equipped her with the necessary tools to excel in her career as a personal trainer. Understanding how the human body moves and functions, she is able to provide her clients with tailored programming to achieve long-term results. Her dedication to her craft is evident through her certifications, including the NASM Personal Training certification and NASM Nutrition Coaching certification.

Despite her focus on academics, Nicole also embraced the social and cultural experiences available to her during her time at Penn State. One of her fondest memories is attending her first Penn State white-out football game, where she was captivated by the electrifying energy of the crowd.

Additionally, Nicole took advantage of opportunities to broaden her horizons by spending six months living in Hawaii during her junior year. Through a program called A Semester Almost Abroad, she attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa, immersing herself in a different culture and academic environment.

Nicole Walsh's journey at Penn State was not only academically enriching but also filled with memorable experiences and personal growth, shaping her into the successful professional she is today.  The department is proud of her accomplishments and grateful she returns to share her impact in the field with our students.
