The Penn State Master of Athletic Training program consistently tops national averages for student retention and graduation, passage rate on the Board of Certification exam, and post-graduate employment as an athletic trainer.

Advanced Learning Resources
Penn State is one of a few institutions featuring an Athletic Training Simulation Learning Laboratory, a facility designed specifically for athletic training education. The state-of-the-art facility offers students opportunities to put their knowledge into practice through the coordinated use of advanced technology, standardized patients, and various task trainers to simulate real-world scenarios that translate to valuable active learning experiences.

Athletic training students at Penn State interact with some of the nation’s top athletes and health care providers. Penn State Athletics boast an all-time rank of No. 4 among all Division I programs, with 52 NCAA Championships and the most national championships of any Big Ten school. The U.S. News & World Report lists Penn State Health as one of the best in the nation for orthopedic care.
