- What are the hours of operation for ISS?

The ISS office is open weekdays from 8AM to 4:30PM. Off hours assistance on an emergency basis only.
- How do I request IT assistance?

There are four primary methods to request support:
- Call the ISS Service Desk: (814) 865-INFO, 865-4636
- Email requests to: iss-helpdesk@psu.edu
- Submit an on-line request through the ISS ticketing system: ISS Service Request website

- How do I order IT equipment?

Enter a request with the Help Desk using one of the three methods listed above and a consultant will be in touch.
- Can’t I just order my IT equipment myself? All IT equipment must be ordered and approved by ISS.
- Is IT support available for research related activities?

Yes, ISS and the HHD Research Office collaborate to deliver consolidated IT support. Chris Greiner (cvg6@psu.edu) is the Research IT Director for HHD.
- Does ISS manage and support all IT services?

Many common IT services such as email and storage are delivered by Penn State IT units that are not organizationally linked to ISS or HHD. ISS is familiar with the IT services delivered by external organizations and should be your first option for IT related questions and requests for support.
