Application process

Acceptance into the Global Health Minor requires attendance at an information scheduled (scheduled between September and early February), a personal interview, and completion of an application, which includes a questionnaire and two recommendations. Students are then selected by faculty committee in late February.

Applications are due Feb. 15. Students typically apply during their second year, with coursework beginning in their junior year.

  • First, attend a Global Health Minor Information Session to learn about the goals of the minor, the fieldwork experience, and the application process.
  • Next, schedule an appointment with the Global Health Minor director.  During this time, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the minor and, at the conclusion of the meeting, be given access to the application materials.

Schedule an appointment

To schedule an appointment, contact the director of the Global Health Minor below.  If you are a current student in the minor and have questions about your study plan or schedule, you may also schedule an appointment in this way.

When arriving for an appointment, please be sure the coordinator has seen that you have arrived. If they are in an appointment with another student, please wait quietly in the hallway.

Please bring a hard copy of any materials you'd like to refer to during the appointment, including your draft study plan and cv or resume. If you need information from another staff or faculty member about your major requirements or upcoming schedule, please gather that information before meeting with the minor director.
