Brent Hurley Profile Picture

Dear HHD alumni community,

I am pleased to announce that Brent Hurley has been named director of alumni relations for the College of Health and Human Development. He began this new role on October 21, 2019.

Brent brings close to 20 years of Penn State experience to this position, most recently serving as associate director of development for the college. Prior to HHD, Brent served in alumni relations and development roles in the Penn State Libraries, Penn State Alumni Association, College of Education, and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.  Brent has also worked as a school guidance counselor and a Penn State academic advisor.

“HHD is an amazing college, and our alumni community is deeply committed to the success of our students and faculty,” Hurley said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to engage our graduates in new ways as I step into this leadership role.”

A native of Huntingdon County, Brent is a graduate of Juniata College where he studied communications and arts.  In 1998 he earned his master’s degree in counselor education from Penn State.

Sincerely,

Craig J. Newschaffer, Raymond E. and Erin Stuart Schultz Dean
