Diversity & Inclusion: activities designed to create a sense of belonging and community on campus, in HHD, and within the student organization

Eligible Activities

The following list is not all-inclusive. There may be other events/activities at the university or in HHD that your organization wishes to attend/host. For approval of activities not listed here, please send an email to Engaged Learning Specialist, Carrie Little, at little@psu.edu with the the following information:

Host a resume workshop
Conduct a mock interview session
Request HHD Career Services staff host a workshop
Invite Central Career Services professionals to speak at an organization meeting
Invite alumni to speak at an organization meeting
Have 5 or more members sign in and note your organization at the HHD Career Fair

Service & Civic Engagement

Have 5 or more members participate in MLK Jr. Day of Service
Have 5 or more members participate in the United Way Day of Caring
Have 5 or more members volunteer at a local organization
Host a voter registration workshop
Host a fundraiser for a local or national organization

- 2 Points: $25 - $49

Fundraise for THON

Organizational & Member Wellness

Host organization meetings
- 1 Point: 1 meeting per month
- 2 Points: 2 meetings per month (bi-weekly)
- 3 points: 3 meetings per month
- 4 Points: 4 meetings per month (weekly)
Host an info booth at the HUB (1 point for each time tabling)
Host an info booth at the Penn State Involvement Fair
Host an info booth at the HHD Student Organization Fair
Request a workshop through Health Promotion and Wellness, Campus Recreation, Counseling and Psychological Services, and/or University Health Services
Attend Art After Hours on January 30, 2025 from 5 - 8 p.m. for New Year, New You

Diversity & Inclusion

Invite staff from any of the following offices to host a workshop/training/presentation at an organization meeting
Take the True Colors assessment at an organization meeting and discuss
Host a workshop on addressing bias and stereotypes
Attend Art After Hours on September 26, 2024 from 5 - 8 p.m. for Hispanic + Latinx Hertiage Month
