March 8–15, 2020

The Netherlands Experience is an embedded course designed to provide students with an opportunity to experience another culture and learn how healthcare is delivered in the Netherlands. The Netherlands was recently rankedone of the top three countries in healthcare based on process, access, efficiency, equity and outcomes. Likewise, the Netherlands gained national recognition for their innovative care of older adults including dementia villages, green care farms and intergenerational residential housing. The course is focused on the provision of services to older adults. To that end, students will meet with policy makers, researchers and providers as they learn about the key components of Dutch healthcare system.
